can I swap 69 12 bolt axles into a 84 12 blt
 

are the axles interchangealble in the 12 bolts from 69-86 c-10 rear ends

no 69 is a tad narrower you have to us 70 and up hope that helps oh btw might wanna count the splines on the axle too they might have changed that somewhere through the years i'm not sure of that

Also you might have to weld up spring perches for leaf springs if the donor axle originally came with coil and you want to go back with leafs. Would be much easier to go back with newer model axle. Plenty of them out there.

It may be more of a PITA, but I can see one thing that would be fun about it. 4-link suspension. I know there is always caltrax, but I have always liked 4-link better lol.
