71-72 4x4 no trim pics

i have a 72 cheyenne super that i got from my step father and it is black and white 2 tone with the trim separating the colors. What i want to do is get rid of all of the trim and go one color. I was wondering if anyone has any pictures of the 4x4 without the trim. I love the 2 tone 4x4's, but befor i strip the trim and got 1 color i would like to see some pics. Thanks in advance all.

Good choice! I think they look good with the trim myself but I am a little biased!

See Ten, love your truck it's a beaut!

I'm sure you've answered this question a million times but what size of Lift and Tires you running? Are you running any spacers on the rear axel to get the tires to line up with the overall width of the front axel?

Thanks in advance.

Oops! sorry for kind of hijackin this thread guys. Anyhow my K10 has a 4" Skyjacker softride system. The lift is all springs, no blocks. I changed out the brake lines for braided stainless steel pieces. The steering arm has also been swapped out. Wheels are 15x10 Mickey Thompson Challengers (no longer available) and the tires are Mickey Thompson 33x12.50 radial claws.

See Ten,

Hot looking truck.

So is it a non working radio in the normal spot and functioning radio in the glove box?

see ten 09-10-2006 03:19 PM

Re: 71-72 4x4 no trim pics

You're pretty close there. The factory radio was functional but it is no longer hooked up. I did splice the radio dial light in with my dash lights so it appears to be whats working. I have been pondering gutting a stock unit and placing an infrared sensor inside the dial so I could use a wireless remote instead of the wired unit mounted to my steering column.

I am going to also going to convert my non-tach dash to a dash with tach...I love something in that middle opening on the dash.

Re: 71-72 4x4 no trim pics

Always nice to see pictures of such a nice truck again... and again. But, this is a 10 year old thread, See Ten sold the truck not long after this, and he stopped coming here about that time. You had no way of knowing the second two, but a word of advise would be, when you pull up an old thread and want to ask a poster a question it would serve you well to send a PM. It's a wild shot to expect they are still checking their post.

Good advice special k... I know it's tossed through several owners since he sold it. I actually considered buying it last winter when it was on eBay. Beautiful truck. Looks like see ten still comes on the board. Would have been smarter to PM, was hoping he was subscribed to the thread and would get an email notification.

Good point on the subscribing to thread. But, 10 years I dunno. I guess he does lurk but rarely posts. The thing with a PM is it's the first thing you see when you log-in and it shoots straight to it's target. I'm a computer numb numb, never subscribed to a thread before. Also don't want all that e-mail. I just stay on here constantly .

4WDs with no trim? Ok:
