It's hard to tell from that photo, but it looks like it is in good shape. A solid, un-restored Blazer can go anywhere from $3000-$11,000 USD.

Rust and modifications are a big issue. Of course, the more rust, the lower the value. Modifications on the other hand can either add or deduct value. Poorly done, irreversable modifcations are huge value knockers in my opinion.

Hey man thanks for your help. He's sent me several pictures and the truck is very solid, floorpans are all in excellent shape, the only rust on the body is on the passanger side rocker panel. Other than that the body is very good.

Looks like a nice one. A currency convertor I used put that at about $7,600 USD - does that sound about right to you? There are less and less of these around and rust can be such a huge problem and time consuming to deal with. The asking price may not be too bad if the K5 is in great shape.

Thanks for the help Yukon Jack and bouncy, I now have several different pictures from the current owner, and have decided to at least go and have a look, I felt the same as yukon jack, these trucks are getting hard to find, and rust is a pain to deal with, so to have a truck with minimal rust is a good start. Thanks guys

Lance

I was just going to value you it about $7500 myself, but if you can go
look at it in person, sound really interested, take lots of pic's, come on
back, share em with us, and we will point out all the bad areas, if any.

Not only is the supply of these rigs slowly depleting, but finding a decent one in way up north is difficult too. If it looks solid (rust and mechanical), I'd go for it. $7,600 US is a decent price (not amazing, but not over priced.)

684x4shortbox, are you able to post any of those pics here on the board for us to see?

As mentioned above, it's the rust.
It's hides really well in these blazers and what can look excellent on the outside can be literally gone on the inside.

Get good pics of the underneath if they'll send more to you.
Torsion boxes, door pillars, windshield frame, cowl and firewall can all be tough areas to spot signs of decay at first clance.

In the pics it looks great but the 'always' look great in the pics.

Good luck, hope it works out for you. :)
