I got mine for ALL my (single wall top) windows at GMC Pauls
http://www.gmcpauls.com/blazer1.htm

Good quality, good price and they fit properly.

Here's a shot of a single walled back hatch(not sure if a double walled one differs).
http://images14.fotki.com/v221/photo...pg_orig-vi.jpg
Basically there's about a 1/4" lip that the rubber gasket slides over.

Then useing the rope trick, set the glass in place.

Re: Window Rubber For Single Wall Top???

WoW, $90 vs. $40 for the differance in tops on the side windows,
would never have guessed it be that much different in price, and
I have never seen a single wall hatch, hmm at least I don't think I
have, Bobby will they interchange? that hatch that is, or specific?

Re: Window Rubber For Single Wall Top???

Like I mentioned,I'm not sure if there even is a difference in the hatches(double or sigle walled top)

I'm pretty sure the hatches interchange between the 2 tops, but I have no personnal experience to back that up.

GMC Pauls doesn't list a different rear glass gasket, so I'll assume the glass mounts in the hatch the same way, wether it's a double or single walled design.

Re: Window Rubber For Single Wall Top???

Thanks for all the Info Bobby, any idea why a 69 hatch is different from
the 70-72 version? 71swb4x4 says the hatch he has on the rig I'm going
to get from him has a 69 hatch? I thought they were all basically same?

Re: Window Rubber For Single Wall Top???

Well the demensions and basic shape of our tops didn't change for the whole production run of the 1st gen Blazer(besides the single vs double wall design)

I'd say the 69 back hatch will fit.

I'm sure it will based on what you said, but why / how is it different? or is it?

Re: Window Rubber For Single Wall Top???

I have 7 back hatches and they are from various tops, they all are the same.
Hope that helps.

Re: Window Rubber For Single Wall Top???

The only ruibber that is dramatically different is the door glass to top---that "C" curve mounts into a metal retainer on the single wall and is direct attached to the top on the double. I would only buy rubber-weatherstrip from a supplier that guarantee's it to last. I believe some of our supporting vendors offer a lifetime guarantee. LMC does not and my experience with there rubber has not been good.
