Blazer Original Jack
Does anyone with a 69-72 Blazer have their original jack installed. If so, could i see a pic of it of how is it mounted. Also a pic of the original crowbar that was used to turn the jack knob up and down. And was it originally painted with the blazer color or just black. The reason im asking for this, is because i have the jack and all the hardware that holds it, but i don't know how to mount it properly.

IIRC, The jack equipment was all BLACK from the factory. I have the pic of
the jack and tire hoop mounted, but not the tire iron, maybe someone else will jump in. (btw, this pic is not my own, but it is from a board member) ;) |
Re: Blazer Original Jack
Believe the jack and the handle extension was the same on the truck and blazer. The handle had a bend in it for the jacking and did not require any tire iron to turn. The kit also included a L shaped lug wrench to loosen the bolts and a small spoon shaped tire iron. If I recall, there was a sticker placed on the back of the drivers side rear wheel tub with jacking and storing instructions. Believe I got a copy of this from "Luv" a while back. Wish I could find an original set of instructions!!!! Huck

Re: Blazer Original Jack
So according to the jack instruction sheet, the one in the pic is not mounted correctly?

Re: Blazer Original Jack
Which jack?, read the fine print, one behind drivers bucket is for NO
rear seat option, and one under the hoop is WITH rear seat option ;) |
Re: Blazer Original Jack
