$18 Misc Snacks / Drinks

Meeting 2 Board Members, Buying a Jimmy, seeing my Brother, SIL, 2
Nephews, and my Mother, while being away from home 45 hrs*, only
stopping 8 hours total for sleeping, 1 hour socializing, 3 hours loading,
and 2-3 hrs worth of gas, rest area, food, & snack breaks ...............

PRICELESS :metal: (I have the AMEX bill to prove it)

*Left Jackson @ 1pm Thursday, Arrived today @ 10am (1850 Miles)

A big thanks to Shawn for a great rig and a honest deal, everything is
as described, no surprises. (Keep on the lookout for a big parts thread
from him, still some good stuff) A shout out to Kent (Prairewolf) after
we left Shawn's bumped into us at a gas station. A big shout out to
my buddy Mike who helped me drive the trip, & to Ron (Ron 586) on
the nice trailer I borrowed which pulled like a dream, we averaged in
the 69-79 mph range the whole trip (Except Iowa cause roads suck)

More pic's later, I can't wait to unpack everything, the Jimmy will be
on the trailer until the BBQ this Saturday, I can't get it off  I have
not got a Air compressor to air it up so somebody bring a small one.

Only issue we had the entire trip is the rear seal on the tranny of my
F-150 is leaking now, gee I wonder why :hm: but I'll get that fixed soon.

Here's just a few pic's to get ya going, more on this coming weekend.
(The H on the hood was in my pocket for safe keeping, I do have it)

Another nice one for your collection.

Another example of living up to my name (Mr Round Tuit). I rebuilt that trailer in 2001 with extra cross members, dove tailed it, and a steel floor. I swore that it would not leave the shop until it was painted. I had to take my D17 AC and box blade to my sons to spread a load of gravel. It has never been back inside the shop. I'm going to paint that trailer, as soon as I can get a round tuit.

Alright! I kind of like the roof rack on there! Makes it look like it should have some plaid seat covers and an 8 track tucked in there somewhere.

Nice ride! I actually dig the rack on the roof! Gives it a "surf wagon" look.

No go drive it and enjoy it!

I'll be there about noon to 1:00 pm Friday if all goes right. I will have my pancake style compressor for the race car. I will have a little bigger rig that contractors use, borrowed from my neighbor to run air tools. Just let me know what else we might need.

Another one to your stable, how did you get the wifey to go for that? Did you sell GQ?

LUV2XCLR8 10-15-2006 07:06 PM

Re: WOW, I'm tired, someone wake me up

Nope, I sold the other 2wd to be able to get this one ;)

Re: WOW, I'm tired, someone wake me up

Nice Craig, glad you finally found the 'right' 2wd.
The previous owner did you right.:bling:

Are the fenders on the trailer really as close to the tires as they appear to be?

Glad to see you get another one - that is a sweet K5. Good to see it stay in the 67-72 board member family.

Yep the fenders are to close. Me and tire man miscommunicated and I ended up with 235 instead of 205. I have another set of wheels with the right size tire and will trade them later. I have a brand new set of diamond plate fenders for it to replace the beer can thick one's on it now, just got to get a round tuit. Ron

Re: WOW, I'm tired, someone wake me up

Yeh, what he said, but the tires never rubbed once ;)

As for "the right" 2wd, maybe it is, but it sure gave me
a large head start over where I was w/ the other one.

:cong: LUV!
There is something about buying a rig that is (almost) ready to roll that puts a little more stride in your step. :phat:

I like the 68 front clip on there. I want to do that to my K5.
Nice.
