Holy Cow!!!!
I'm in shock... I plugged my phone charger into the cig lighter to see if it worked in my 68... and it works! This truck is growing on me more and more....now, I need to take it out on the freeway and see if she can handle I-10 without a melt down!!!
for those of you who don't know what I mean about I-10 traffic... be thankful, very very thankful |
hey, did you put a cigarette lighter in yours, or did it come stock cause i hav a 69 and there is no cigarette lighter and no sign of one either
|
it looks stock... knobs match everything else
I have no clue if it was an option or not... the option tag is MIA someone painted the glovebox door and removed it. I was shocked the darn thing worked...

The cig lighter was an option, it it was not put in, it got a little black plastic butt plug in the hole...to the right of the heater controls.
I been through Houston on I-10 on the way to New Orleans...no fun at all. But it is still better than Austin on I-35. |
they made longhorns in 68?? I thought they came out in 69.

yes, there werer 1902 3/4 ton longhorns, ans 213 one tonlonghorns built in '68. The books were written in late '67, and since the first Longhorn wasn't made untill march 11th of 68, they books overlooked them.
