i have only seen 1 in person, and this is the second i have seen, was it a special order option? custom made?

No, it was not built by GM. There were several GM authorized conversion companies that built them. They never sold very well for some reason.

The seller really knows a lot about what he is selling- The cab come off a 2000 Chevy pickup and put on this
