Headlights stopped working... help?
Got in my 70 Blazer last night to go for a quick cruise, and the headlights won't turn on. All the side marker lights come on, tail lights, and the marker lights in the grille work... just no headlights.
Anyone have this happen before or have any ideas on where to start troubleshooting? Is there a fuse that does just the headlights? Thanks in advance, Darren |

Re: Headlights stopped working... help?
As in check the floor switch wiring or is there a way to test it for function?
Thanks again! |
Re: Headlights stopped working... help?
Try dimming the lights and see if they come on. If you're truck is like mine you may need to make sure the wires are connected to it.

Re: Headlights stopped working... help?
Try all above, plus checking for connection at the headlights themselves.
(wiggle the wires) Couls also be in the headlight switch on your dash. |
Re: Headlights stopped working... help?
Could be two burnt out headlights?Icouldn't get high beams to work both bulbs were burnt out. Easy fix once I figured it out.

Re: Headlights stopped working... help?
I've had two trucks melt the brown headlight wire under the dash. Take a look and see if it is ok (probably is because I think all the lights go out when it goes bad.)

Re: Headlights stopped working... help?
Ok... the dimmer switch plug wasn't connected. Don't know how it happened, as I've been driving the truck for a few months and the lights have been working fine. Anyway... thanks for all the help!
