Who insures your hot rod truck?

What insurance company is best to insure the classic trucks we put so much cash into? My company, USAA, said it will only insure normal value, not including upgrades and modifications.

Anyone?

I use Farm Bureau but I have an agreed value policy (had to get an appraisal).

Here is a few I made a FAQ on Insurance Companies

I am like RJ, I had a policy written for "GQ" through ALLSTATE, other one has
that + liability so I can drive it, eventually I am gonna step up to Hagerty ;)

I use State Farm. Insured for $15,000 as a classic car. Pay $56 every 6 months. Can only drive it to and from shows. Where ever I park it, it becomes a show. ;)

AAA/ACIA wants way too much to insure classics for what they are worth around here.

I insured my panel through Hagerty, I think I'll end up doing the same with my Stepside once it is road worthy.

Hagerty. I checked with Grundy but they won't insure 4x4's. It about 265 a year for my Blazer and Jimmy

Thanks for the info, I will check into a these.

Based on what I am doing to the ugly beast, it will attract a fair amount of attention and desire- if there were not so many *&^%#$ theif bastardages...I would not be so concerned.

I found Hagerty was very cheap for an agreed upon value but they will not insure lifted trucks. You also have to have a daily driver that is not the classic truck so for a married couple you have to own at least 3 vehicles which I'm sure we all do anyway.

I insure my 62 and my 72 blazer with Allstate. I have an agreed value policy and the rates are good for $65,000.
