Removal of Parklights in 84 grille

Title says it all. How does one remove the parklight housings from an 84-87 grille? They have those silly nut-thingies with the big star sticking up. I'm trying to get this thing ready to ship to a boardmember, if its too big a hassle to remove them and I risk breaking them/the grille, then I'll just throw them in with it.

Off the top of my head it should only be a few nuts on one side. But the plastic gets brittle on the grills.
If you have a sale made, just throw them in; its not worth the risk of breaking something and losing your sale altogether.
