origianal tire size on a 1972 suburban 1/2 ton?
 
Anyone out there no the standard tire size and optional sizes available in 1972?

I believe one of mine says 78-15 in the glove box for a 1/2 ton

i did not see that on my glove box tag?? hmmm okay so does yours say g78, L78 or h78 and what is the difference?? okay I found what the alphanumber means, nevermind, it's the size. The previous owner has 31x10.5 15 on there and they are almost new, but that is larger than the original, right? so would that effect the speedo?

and my 1972 3/4 ton Suburban says 8.75 - 16.5 - 8

my 72 1/2ton burb has the following on the glove box
L78-15-B HIGHWAY BB
