headliners from LMC truck???

does anyone have an ABS plastic headliner from LMC truck in your truck. if you do i would like to see a picture of what it looks like in your truck. Can't really picture how big they are or how much they cover up. are these headliners good or are there better ones out there.

What color are you looking for? I have a factory brown one from the 84 I'd be willing to part with. PM me so we don't pollute your thread.

I am curious myself b/c I need to order the headliner kit in grey.

Re: headliners from LMC truck???

They are 6.5s IIRC. And yes, the power handling of the speakers is rather low (~40 watts I think). My concern was the ease in replacing them with a higher quality speaker.

You can also buy the Highliner from here http://www.truckinteriors.com/ for $25 cheaper than LMC, but the website seems to be having problems at the moment. I was looking around on there a few days ago and they have them in different colors if I remember correctly.

Wish I had of come in here 3 weeks ago Captkaos, I ordered the headliner from LMC and there was no hardware at all in the box, I called them back again yesterday and it may be another 3 weeks before I get the hardware, I am unhappy with the way they have done on this so far, anyway do you have any idea the size of screw that goes through the holes on all four ends of the headliner into the metal top of the truck? There is/was nothing in the holes of the metal in my truck ceiling, just the holes....., any help will not be forgotten, thanks..Chappy http://www.bolt.com/Cantdelete/photo/palco/2795711

im sure you could buy better speakers to put in before you mount the highliner.....since i dont play my music loud or have any need to i just kept with the stock speakers and they are more than great for me.

I had one in my 84 & installed a CD player in it & upgraded the speakers. It skipped like mad! I would glue it to the inner roof if I were you.

Re: headliners from LMC truck???

I have one in my truck. I replaced the blue vinyl with the blue cloth.

I like it very much. Fit is great. It's very well made. The only *minor* problem was the holes for the sunvisors were slightly high, and I needed to trim them. It added about 10 min to the install but I would give it a 9/10.

Sorry no pics I will try tomorrow.
