Cool Man..

How much did you lower it up front and in back??

Also, what size tires do you have on that puppy??

What else do you plan on doing to it??

Wow...thanks for all the props guys !!!

Oh, for sure its going lower !!! The previous owner heated the springs..and its now sitting on the bump stops:crazy: ...that's all getting ripped out !

I just got this thing recently.....one of my friends gave it me for FREE.:c2:

It was sitting in his driveway since '92...it was half primer gray and rust. It's been a low budget build since I got it. The most I've spent on it so far was on the brakes...they were shot...and you can't be low budget when it comes to brakes, and my kids will be in it too.

So I sanded it, and rattle canned the body, and the wheels. It had 15x8 chrome and rust baby moons...I traded my wifes cousin for his stocks off his 69 C-10.....he cleaned them up with SOS and they actually came out good. So it worked out for both of us, I wanted stocks, and he got chromes.

I painted the dash red...and repainted the speedo housing and column white. I get more pics soon. Do you all think the more of the roof should be white ?!?!?

It will be bagged sooner or later...but I have too many customer rides to deal with right now.....

The tires were "freebies" too...well kinda, my buddy works at a local speed shop, and we swap custom work for parts...saves us both money !!

They are G-78's....they are bias...but then again I didnt' need a ZR rated tire anyway !!

Again, thanks for the props:metal: ...and I'll get more pics up soon...

Dude, that is one bad a$$ budget build! :metal: Diggin' the wide whites and the primer / rod look. The white top looks great as it is - you could paint the sides of the cab and around the windshield white, either way you can't go wrong.

Fellow Nor Cal Trucker,
Pete

Thanks....

I was going for the old rat rod look.....someday it will be completely bodyworked and re-primered with the real stuff...the black-sealer primer...the satin stuff. That will look better

But for know...It will remain low budget !!

I KNOW I HEARD...RICH IS GETTING YOU SOME WIDE WHITES TOO, HUH ??

Thats cool man....No problem. (f#&K^& a$$h%^E,mo%^ER f$%CKer)...just kidding... The only reason I did it this way, was because the truck was free, and I kept that mentality going as a "low budget". Just made it look ok for cheap.

It will need a few more things...slowly but surely. I just welded some plates under the cab, with 1/2" weld nuts. I got some seatbelts from P N Pull. Now my kids can ride !!!
