What is differnt between a 48 chevy and a 51 GMC?
 

On the front clip what parts are interchangeable between a 1948 Chevy and a 1951 GMC? I have a Chevy that needs alot of parts and just stumbled on a great deal on a 51 GMC, I guess the biggest thing i need to know is do the inner and outer fenders match up between the two?

I'm pretty sure the difference is in the grille, hood and bumper filler panel. Have you tried looking at some catalogs to see what they advertise the inner/outer fenders as fitting?

The only catalog i have is LMC and they only have chevy parts in that year range..

Classic Parts and Brother's list items for 47-54 Chevy/GMC. The only way I know for sure would be for one of the 'experts' here to chime in or maybe call one of the vendors. Hope it works out for you!

The inner fenders are different on chevy and the fenders are also
They come together at the cowl so from the cowl forward either or all GMC or Chevy, and don't forget the Hood, core support and filler panel behind the bumper. Hope that helps

I always thought that chevy and GMC fender were the same
