70gmc suburban - sell? part? scrap?

5 Attachment(s)
I needed a set of doors for my 72 chevy suburban. I was having a dificult time finding a set until I found a complete 70 gmc suburban for sale up north of me. It is a rolling shell, the engine and tranny were newly rebuilt and plucked for another truck by the previous owner. Soon after I had the rolling shell towed to my property, I found another set of doors from a 72 chevy, even in the same blue/white color as mine. Super!
But now I have a big brown GMC on my lawn.
I have had it listed on the classifieds for $450 but there were only 2 or 3 interrested parties. Most weren't local so shipping killed the thriftyness of the deal. I'd take less, I certainly don't need to make any money on it but I'd also rather not loose any.
I may have better luck parting it out but don't really have the time and it'd be a shame to have it hauled away to the recycler...
Not sure why I am posting... Advice? Whining? Sad? Who knows. Anyway, here is a photo. If you have any ideas on what I should do with it let me know, thanks.
Admin - I understand if you feel this post could be construde as a classified add and you need to pull it. That isn't the intention however...
Thanks all!
Looking forward to starting the motor and suspension work on my 72!

It would be sad to see her scrapped. Do you got it in any local papers or on the craigslist? Might do better for the local crowd. I agree she is all there and cant believe you cant find a buyer. Down here she would be gone in a hartbeat. Id part out if all else fails. But to just take it to the scrap yard would be such a waste. Just my opinion.

Boy do I wish you were in the Northeast. Those are near impossible to find that are worth tearing into. After I finish the 67 stepside, I wouldn't mind starting a suburban.

That truck looks to be in great shape and for $450.00 bill's it is a steel. I bought a truck from Nebraska and had it hauled to Virginia for $1260.00 dollars. I beleive it would be around $1700.00 give or take to haul from Washington state to the east coast. So for a couple thousand dollars someone would be getting a pretty nice burb to start a project with. Don't scrap it or part it out. If you have to, put it on ebay and see what happens. That truck is in to good of shape to let it die a horrable death. Someone needs to bite on this one.

Don't scrap it. Burb parts are getting harder to find.

Does it have rear seats in it? I need some brackets and a arm rest.
