Axle widths

I know the rear axles are more narrow than than the front and I want mine to be even. I want to put a nine inch in mine but I am curious to see if anyone already knows if it will make it even. How about a fourteen bolt. I know they are big but i've heard that as long as its from a 3/4 ton it will bold right in and even out the back.

If I remeber correctly, the Chevy van rear axles are same width as the front on the Blazers. Don't know if it's only the 14bolt or all of them. Anyone help me out?

14 bolt van width., and for the 1st gen blazers you need a 1ton 14bff for the perches to match up. Why not use spacers, a lot easier and cheaper.

Got spacers on this one (1 1/2" each side--spacer bolts to axle and has regular studs for wheels)

Where did you get the spacers. I also want to put in a 14bolt, but might buy some spacers in the meantime.

Not mine.
The 14 bolt in mine is from a '98 chevy and it's the same width as it was originally, still has the offset.

For spacers, look in the back of almost any 4x4 rag and you'll find some adds.

Blazer belongs to my son(orangeuavol). I believe he got them off ebay. Will ask him to make sure and get back to you.

Mine is a 70's/80's model FF. Just not sure on 3/4 or 1 ton.

Re: Axle widths

Just wondering, has anyone experienced any problems using the wheel spacers?

Would the 1 1/2" spacers adversely affect my axle bearings- or any other rear axle components for that matter? Keep in mind, I already have 15X10 wheels with 33X12.50 tires.

Pricing just jumped from $60 to $80 the seller that was listed above.

On the blazer above (orangeuavol) he has 15X10 with 35's with no problems so far.

Re: Axle widths

van 14b are 70" wms x wms

all single wheel 14b are 1-3/4 t 14b are 67.5" wms x wms.

dually 14b can be 63 or 73" depending on what you get them from.

doubt you ever have a problem with 14b bearings, people run big off set 44"s all the time.

a better mod than widening the rears is get a d60 front. they are only 69.5" and you wont even notice 1" on each side.
