Bolt in air bag
Does anyone make one for a 72? Also I'm going to be towing a 5000lb load alot. Will the air bags hold up? What kind should I get? Thanks.

Re: Bolt in air bag
Yep. For a '72 they're basically bolt-in. You do have to drill a few holes.
Check this thread for pictures. The bags will hold as long as you get some that are rated for that kind of weight. Remember, the original application of these things is for big-rigs... |
Re: Bolt in air bag
The piston style bags ECE sells bolt into the stock spring bolt holes. You just need to open the upper hole up just a touch.

Re: Bolt in air bag
I understand, I was just letting him know they do bolt in with very little hassle. They will sell the bags individually from the kit. They're still $200 apiece which is pricey (like everything else they sell), but the do ride VERY nice.
