bed wood

Hey guys need a little info here. Looking for something to put for the bed floor. I did not want to do the traditional wood floor because I plan on using it as a truck. I want to use some 3/16 steel diamond plate, but I need a 3/4 filler to put where the original floor was. I thought about using 3/4 treated ply wood, but with the new chemicals it eats through metal. I wonder if I primed the treated ply wood with a good primer if it would not eat the metal? Any suggestions?

Not a good place for plywood. When the finish breaks down, the plys absorb water real fast. If you want to use wood, I would use a good hardwood like oak. Poplar is cheaper and safter, but should work. All of the holes need sealed. I've had good results with 2 coats of Thompson's water seal and 2 coats of oil base paint.
