14 Bolt Drw To Srw?

Anyone Know What Is Involved In Swapping A Rear 14bolt Axle From Drw To Srw?ill Be Going To Disc Brakes If That Matters?

i cant remember if the spindle itself is longer but the backing plates are closer to the ceter of the axle so you will need to custom fab something to hold the caliper mount. it also has the perches in closer too so moving them should be needed, unless your are keeping it in the truck that its in.

IIRC thereare Two types of DWR axles, the narrow C&C and the full width. Which do you have?

tall I went the other way. If your drw is off a chassis & cab truck it's a simple swapping the type B hubs for the standard type A hubs. Inner axles and bearings all swap just fine ( it least mine did). The disc brake bolt up can be done, it just takes a spacer outboard of the mounting flange on the axle. Randy @ http://www.blackbirdscustomtrucks.com can set you up.
I have a pair of what your after sitting on a shelf. The one on the right is the type B drw the other is the type A your after.
