Need opinions on purchase price
I have found a 67 LWB, 3 owner, inline 6,shift in column, non a/c truck. It has minimal rust( one rocker, quarter size spot on drip rail), original paint and the bed has always had a camper on it so it is in great condition. It is liscensed and running and driving. It has one dent in one fender which would take about 2 hrs to fix ( I am a body man, so no problem), They won't take less than $1500 is it worth that? Sorry I don't have any pics. Thanks Trey

doesn't sound bad...$1500 for a running rust free truck in the north is unheard of! My buddy just got a 67 LWB, six cyl with rusty bed, very bad paint but running...guy wanted $1000 but he stole it for $500.

Re: Need opinions on purchase price
If it's as nice as it sounds I would say that's a steal. I paid 1K for mine and it was/is nowhere near that sound in the body, not to mention the brakes were hosed all around. Anyhoo, sounds like a good deal.

Re: Need opinions on purchase price
$1500 sounds fair for a LWB C-10 in that condition

Re: Need opinions on purchase price
Sounds reasonable. The body is the big hurdle with these trucks everything else can be upgraded if you want. Just takes $$$ but you can work one item at a time.

Re: Need opinions on purchase price
I really was just wanting it mostly for the front clip, cab, and a few other things but it is one of those trucks that it would almost be a shame to part out. They won't go any lower on the price and I don't blame them. I am pretty sure I am going to go get it. If it was a SWB I would have already bought it.

Go for it

For that price you could make a short bed out of it if ya want. Look around, several members here have done it. |

Thanks for the opinions.

Here in Southeast Missouri the price of a running 1967 to 1972 Chevy is pretty reasonable. Usually around $1000, I lucked into one for less than that. My son who collects them says he thinks the price will be going up soon, though.
Here is a picture of the 1971 Chevy C-10 I picked up in August. It has a 350V-8, compound 4 speed and 3.73 gears. What is neat is checking these old trucks out, the one I bought was in New Mexico until 2000. Danny |
Re: Need opinions on purchase price
if it makes you feel better, i paid 2500 for my 69 lwb. it has two rust holes, one cab corner, and one bed wheel well. good running 283/t400 w/ about 35k on it.
I'd say $1500 is a good deal, especially if you're a body guy and can fix the minor problems it has. |
Re: Need opinions on purchase price
sounds like a fair price to me-if you decide to put a shortbox on it a rustfree bed that had a camper on it forever would sure help pay for the swap.
