Mine originally came with it, but the PO tried to tighten it up and it broke the mounts. I just got a new set from the JY.

Justin I didn’t get them at a junk yard in NM. I was in San Antonio at a place called Johns. It literally out in the middle of nowhere, but worth the trip as they had several trucks + tons of other old cars- I did get lucky with the emblems though. we looked at every truck and this was the only one that had them and it even had them both! None of the other truck even had the holes or anything indicating there was emblems. I think its a uncommon emblem.

BTY I don’t have the headers installed but I just might. I haven’t made up my mind yet.
I would like to see yours when its done.

i got them on mine.... but they were pirated off the last truck, which was a legit Custom

Longhorn Man, what is the difference between the script emblems and the rectangle piece that says custom? Is one just a newer style?

Well, I don't think so, I got my dad and uncle to help me out, but I'll let you know thanks for the offer. I was just curious if you had found a good place somewhere here in NM to find some stuff. Are you near ABQ?
I'm gonna take pics before and after, but my fuel pump is out right now, and I need to get a Non Rust Filled gas tank. It should be about mid-February when it's done.
I'll post pics on here, and I'll let you know how they are. Heck, if you wanted to, and you're close enough I may even be able to meet you somewhere and show 'em to ya before you have to make your decision. Wow, that was a little long-winded, sorry,lol. Justin

67/68 GMCs used the rectangular one on the upper center of the door, 69 - 72 GMC used shis script on the custom and custom campers. Chevy used it on 70 - 72 custom camper if memory serves.
I wouldn't call them rare at all. It;'s a low option package, pretty common really, at least, from what I have seen.

mine says custom10 on the fender but its not in script but im not sure if thats what your talking about

hmm i got a 68 gmc with custom badges,,they ay above the door handles..i think they stupid right there,,heres a pic

i dont know why they are there,,is that a factory location on a 1/2 ton..but on the glove box it just says gmc..one of these days i actually need to open the glove box....may even havew a sheet in there with some info...

yup. that's stock. That is the custom option package.... not the same as the Custom/10, which was the LACK of an option package in 71/72

well i will be glad when i can start working on my truck..so far have not even hardly looked at it..and other then the pics,,havent seen it since i brought it home about 4 months or so ago,,i think,,i just noticed in the pic i posted,,i got a chrome trim the runs under the rear window around the cab...is that part of the custom package to...

I've got them on my 72 Jimmy. They are positioned just above the door handles, just like 68GMC454's truck.
I like them there, it is a different look from the Chevs.

That means that the cab roof was one color and the body was another.

I have a them on a set of doors I have. They are off a 70 GMC.

Hey guys-
My 70 Jimmy has the Custom script above the door handles, and my 72 pickup has 2500 Custom in the rectangle below the GMC logo on the front fenders.

My '71 Jimmy came with the "Custom" script badges above the handles. They were re-installed badly after a PO's cheap paint job and one came off in the boonies. I got a replacement from a guy on-line but I'm waiting until I paint again to rebadge it. But yeah, it's OEM.
