Rare blazer parts???

Anybody ever seen these? I've never heard of them, but then again, that doesn't mean anything.

I had seen references of them before, but questioned if they were ever produced. Appears this post may have settled another urban legend.

I have seen them in some old pics but have never seen any for sale. I would say RARE is a correct statement in this case.

I wonder, do you leave them in place permanently? The auction says that they cover up the window area along with the vent window so I guess you gut your doors and put this on top for good??? Anybody have any pics of them installed. I have no intention of buying them, I'm just curious to see how they look.

Yeap, they are a permanent thing. (Or at least semi permanent, I assume they screw on and could be removed if you wanted to) I would figure that a blazer that came factory with them would not have windows or regulators... but I'm not sure.

I didn't know they actually exhisted. I've only seen the illustrations in the factory assembly manual.

Are you going to bid on those Craig? It's tempting to get them just in case I ever want them in the future... but I live in the pacific northwest and a top in necessary.

Woah!

I noticed an illustration of these in my assembly manual and was going to post a question about it. I assumed it was something that GM ultimately abandon and made tops standard on all blazers.

Anyone ever seen them on a rig... factory?

Yep, rare and correct from GM. Shows in assembly manual and have a local guy with them. Interesting but not terribly usefull!! I guess if you have money to burn---kind of like rear seat shoulder belts!!

i know the person that is currently high bidder--he owns a blazer parts specialty company here in calif. so i assume they are legit or he wouldn't bid on them. another thing (of many) i've never seen.

They might be for a Chalet Blazer that didn't come with wing windows. Wes has one of those weird door blazers.
