My camera is off to a repair shop on the east coast.I'll try to borrow one this weekend and post.

I do have some pics that maybe I can post from another guys truck. He has a different setup bracket wise, but certainly one that works. Try this link

Thanks !!! I was going to start , this weekend, but I got some bug,and feel like crap. Nice pics they will come in handy. Are you running an internal regulated alt?

Re: L6 250 power steering

Yes, still have the internal.

One of the things I want to change, but not very far up the list!

Hey ol Curt, do you have any more pics of the bracket you used for your power steering pump and how/where it mounts to the block? I'm also trying to add power steering to a 235 inline. I got some pics of a "home-made" setup that used the same belt as the water pump and alt., but I was looking for a cleaner setup. Thanks.

Kid,

I have a good pic of the brackets at work. It is before they were blasted or painted, but really gives an idea what to look for. I'll send it tomorrow.

I just bought a 66 parts truck with a 250 and power steering however the alternator is single groove. I had a feeling it needed to be double. Is that hard to come across? Where can I get the double alternator pulley?

Re: L6 250 power steering

my 250 has a single grove alternator pully, but I plan on running it like the set up in the picture olcurt posted on the 2nd post above. You can get a doubble pullt from a local rebuilder or a bone yard.

First two pics are of one system like I used. The other is of a system that is displayed in some pics I gave of another truck.

Either way. the main bracket bolts thru the top into the head near the front drivers side of valve cover and a second, (and third with some) bolt into the head from the fron near the water pump. I believe all are 3/8-16 bolts.
