one night left outside... one night!
1 Attachment(s)
I am in the process of moving, have 3 days left - soooooo I left the truck out of the shop one night so I could stage the new motor and tranny inside the shop door (and the rest of the parts)... to be loaded on tomorrow night - wake up this morning and sure enough.... SNOW! She's all shiny underneath from the cab back so she won't get on the roads until day after tomorrow (so most any salt/brine will be gone). I like pics so I thought I'd share.
(Bet you all thought it was going to be one of those "thieving" type posts didn't ya!) |

Re: one night left outside... one night!
HA! You must not be too far from me. That's how it looked here before most of it melted.

Re: one night left outside... one night!
It snowed here once. I think it was back in the 70"s.
Sorry, no pics.:bo2: |
Re: one night left outside... one night!
My great great great grandmother used to tell me stories about snow, but I ain't never seen any. I think it was one of those stories that old people tell naive children when they're young and impressionable.

Re: one night left outside... one night!
if your rig is within 1/4 mile of a road that had brine sprayed... then you better hose it off just to be on the safe side. It's real bad stuff.

Re: one night left outside... one night!
The brine is nasty stuff, it can get under the head of a rivit, where water can't, and it continues to do it's damage by absorbing the humidity out of the air clear down to 15% humidity... so as long as the brine is on the metal...esp bare or rusted metal, it is eating your metal.
Real bad stuff. |

Re: one night left outside... one night!
I hope not. But salt is one reason I drive a POS 86 suburban all winter. The 70 Sub, 96 Imp and 98 Tahoe pretty much hibernate all winter.
Winter just sucks. Aaron P.S. Hey Longhorn, I would love to see that article if you can find it. |
Re: one night left outside... one night!
Yep, waiting to read it got stolen. Glad it only got snowed on...
