Re: 69 3/4 ton power drum brakes pro valve pic request
I dont think there is any diff between power and non power. That block basicly splits the front and rear and houses the warning light switch. The four wheel drum brakes do not use a proportioning valve. I think thats how it works. Even the disc trucks use the same prop valve between 1/2 and 3/4 ton. They are just plumbed different. If yours looks like GMCBubba you should be good to go.

Re: 69 3/4 ton power drum brakes pro valve pic request
my 70 k20 has a prop valve and so does my 66 mustang so yes drum/drum systems do need a valve. the one in gmcbubba's photo looks just like the one on my 1970 k20

I HAVE NO CLUE  why someone would have installed a 1/2 ton booster on my truck single diaphragm. this new one is a dual diaphragm |
Re: 69 3/4 ton power drum brakes pro valve pic request

installed the correct booster on my 69 c-20 that has not been correct for the four years i have had the truck.. it's great to have this problem strightened out. :metal: |
Re: 69 3/4 ton power drum brakes pro valve pic request
what is that you have installed just south of the proportioning block in the brake line?
looks like a nice, easy swap. will it be that easy to just add power brakes to my manual set-up? |
