Hey Srubydo1986,
That is a nice tool to have. I see you are from Nokesville. I graduated from Brentsville in '82. What area do you live in? Let us see some pics of your ride. |

As for that lift thingy i dont think you'll be able to get your cab off the frame using it. But it's pretty neat. |

I have a bad back and used this, Straps and a cable come-a-long to lift my cab off and set it on a small trailer for repair work.
I used the old Suburban in the back ground to pull the running gear from under the cab once raised then backed my small trailer under. http://img1.putfile.com/thumb/1/3019560086.jpg |

Hey Srubydo1986, That is a nice tool to have. I see you are from Nokesville. I graduated from Brentsville in '82. What area do you live in? Let us see some pics of your ride. I also graduated from brentsville 2005. It no longer a middle-high school it now just a high school. But I bet if you saw the school you most likely wouldnt recognize it, lots of new construction, new gym for starters. And for my location across form owes nest rihgt on vinthill. Those roads havn't change yet so you must know them. for pictures of my truck check out this thread i started it about what im going to do to it and what it look like know http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=225127 And for lifting the cab i was reading in another thread somewere else they took the holes used for the seat and put bolts in them and attached chains to it. All i would change is take a chain and rap it around the front under carage and give the front support, cause of the front being heavy. ill try and draw a picture if i wasnt clear |

Re: For the truck guy with a bad back
Srubydo1986,
I just moved overseas in July of '06. Before that I lived in Manassas and was in Nokesville all the time visiting friends and hunting. I know all the roads you mentioned but I didn't know the school didn't have Jr. High in it anymore. Is there still a big tiger painted on the wall of the old gym? If so, my brother painted that. I have been to alot of parties right around where you live. I will be home to visit in July or August maybe we can get together and share stories and check out each others trucks. |
Re: For the truck guy with a bad back
sounds good.
If i can remember i think both have or had a tirer on the wall. the old gym was located in the middle of the school like right when u walked in it was on ur left the new gym is part of the addition one the right side of the school if ur facing it. The old gym is now a giant libary, and no tiger there anymore. the new gym has a tiger that looks to be breaking throught the wall. I saw and watched that get painted. the old gym had a rumor about that someone put a vw bug in it at some point as a senior prank. Ill try and find the old year books i know the new and old gym are in there somewhere. |
Re: For the truck guy with a bad back
The VW in the gym is no rumor. There is alot of things I can tell you that happened there that I had no part in. At least I will never admit to.
