can anyone refer me to anyone that can rebuild my differental in my 84 4x4 silverado? any help? thanx...dave ...i ment arizona...

i say just get one from the junk yard its cheaper all u have to do is know the ratio so it matcheds the front.

I might be new to the Pheonix metroplex but I can't throw a rock in my neck of the woods without hitting a tranny/rear gear shop

Yeah there are quite a few. I just used qwestdex.com and picked up the first rear end shop in phoenix that had a business card. I don't know any either, and I don't think tri-city does rear ends.

He didn't take it to that shop anyways :)

i was refered to a shop in mesa.. they tore it apart today,.teeth missing on ring gear,pinion gear, twisted axle,bearings,ect! ouch .. around 1800.00 too fix. that hurts. thanx again for the help. dave

damn dude what did you do?! You should have picked up parts at a junk yard. There are so many around here with old chevys

well i installed a new chevy crate engine,rebuilt trans,new brake system,ect. and gave it to my oldest son,whom transports my new grandson in it,so i need reliable.hey extreme..ever go to the power rd show? thanx for the reply..dave

I used to go there when my old Nissan truck was bagged, but haven't been there in a long time. Off topic, but I'm actually right on the border of queen creek. Greenfield and Pecos. Where are you?
