the last piece of my original Longhorn is gone

Hopefully headed to a better place too
Many of you are familiar with my first truck... my blue longhorn CST/20.

And... it's sad fate. :(

So i kept what i could... used MANY parts off of it, but I had to junk the front clip (duh) and the chassis and bed.
It relocated with me from Tx to ohio... at that point, it was going to replace the cab on the red GMC... but it was never ment to be.

instead, it sat in storage... bot in a mini-storage unit;

And at Fine69's place. it even got stored on a parts truck frame for a year or so.

Well... time to let it go.... cut her loose.
Sold it to a board member (jtlauer) today... he came down from the Cleveland area, we dug it out, strapped it down, and with any luck, Joel will fix it up, and put it on his 69 restoration project.

That's Joel

Here he is again... I'm the one behind the camera with a Mtn Dew bottle...

Here it is at 60-ish MPH, moments before it went north... and I went south.
Wave bye bye to it.

Maybe the Ex was right... I get a little too sentimental over my junk. :crazy:

it was very close... I think it was the stock color + a clear coat.
however, i have no clue what it was. i sold the glove box door the day after the truck got totaled, and never took a photo of it.

I was thinking of painting my swb 4x4 that color.It sort of looks like my 69 4x4s paint.It was supposed to be original but I dont think it is.I guess I need to look on its glovebox label and see.This is what it looked like last year before the motor removal,and one right after I installed a 6" lift(dont even say anything about the tires..lol)It might be the same color if it wasnt faded and had a clear coat.The front fenders in the second pic were supposed to be original paint too,off a 71 c/10.BTW,if you need another longhorn,there is one about 10 miles from here.;)
