Suburban Headlights Malfunctioning?
I know my rig is a little newer for this Forum, I'm just exploring everyones knowledge out there.
I have a 98 Suburban, 1 headlight went out, so I replaced both low beam bulbs, worked fine for about a week, and now daytime running lights work fine, but when I turn the headlight switch to on, the headlights go out, and the brights don't work either, but if I turn the switch to the off position, the daytime running lights work fine, not sure what this problem could be?? Headlight switch?? Relay?? I sure hope someone out there has had the same problem. Thanks, ANDY |
Re: Suburban Headlights Malfunctioning?
had the same thing happen on my dads 2000 NBS tahoe. we replace the headlight switch =nothing replaced the bulbs= nothing replaced some wiring= worked for a while then quit. IT ended up being a malfunctioning high beam switch. so we replaced the turn signal/wiper/highbeam switch and worked fine ever since

Re: Suburban Headlights Malfunctioning?
That's odd it would be a high beam switch affecting both beams. I think I'm just going to check the relay which is the center point and go from there.

Re: Suburban Headlights Malfunctioning?
Maybe the headlight switch? but why would the daytime running lights remain lit, are they on a different circuit?
