What kind (and size) of rims are those? I really like the look.
|
Re: My 56 is on the ground.....

Re: My 56 is on the ground.....

Re: My 56 is on the ground.....
looks really good.
what diameter are those tires, and how high is your rocker panel off the ground? |
Re: My 56 is on the ground.....
The tires are 17x8 all the way around. I got them for a heck of a deal from a guy name street rod Jerry who used to work with Foose. I can't remember what the ofsets were on them though. The rims are American Racing (Torq Thrust II's)

Re: My 56 is on the ground.....
i meant the tires, not the wheels. what is the overall diameter of you tire.
i am working out my final ride height, and i was just wondering how it compares to yours |
Re: My 56 is on the ground.....
The rears are 255/50/17 and the fronts are 225/50/17. If I get a different offset for the rear, I could get a wider tire.

Re: My 56 is on the ground.....
How many inches would you say taking out 2 coil is? I think I need to do this short term before I put air bags on.
|
Re: My 56 is on the ground.....
If you have brand new coils springs drive the car for a while because the springs will settle. Let the springs settle before you cut them or you may have too much of a drop if you cut them first and then the springs settle. If the springs are not new this is a mute point

Looking good man. Its going to be a really nice truck.
|
Re: My 56 is on the ground.....
You guys are amazing! The quality work that's going into these trucks are fantastic, one question;
Do you plan on painting the upper and lower valance area a different color? It's masked off that's why I ask. Tri5 |
Re: My 56 is on the ground.....
Tri 5, not it is already painted thats why it is masked off. The fenders just got painted so the ghost flames can be painted.
|
Re: My 56 is on the ground.....
what color is that? looks like an awesome chocie, how are you going to go about doing your ghost flames? copper pearl mixed with the base? or an ice pearl mixed in with clear? just curious, chewing on ideas for my 55 burb. sweet truck.
