Brake lights and flashers

My brake lights and flashers don't work. I have replaced harness to brakes didn't help. Everything worked till the truck sat at my brothers house for a yr and a half now nothing. Had one person say it was harness to steering wheel. I know new stuff that way but this is a 77 GMC truck no comp. or injectors just basic truck and yes fuses are ok

Have you checked the brake light bulbs and sockets for corrosion ?

Have you checked the flasher for the 4 ways (which won't affect brake lights) ?

Do you have power to the brake light switch ?

Just a few things to check.....

check the condition of the grounds in the back of the truck
