From the pics and description I would guess 6-7k would be the starting price around here.

More pics are needed. From what I can see, I'd guess in the $8K-9K range - assuming it is rust is very minimum and it is bondo free, Original(ish) interior and solid mechanically as well.

From the looks of it, it has been repainted (top too) and has later model wheels.

I`m with Bouncy. It`s hard to find decent originals. The mirrors are changed. So,holes filed/paintwork.The top is smooth and glossy, stripped texture to smooth/painted.
Lift the carpet even take a philips-head to remove the threshold. If he has a problem with that, offer him half or walk.Anyone that want good money should understand they need a knowledgable buyer or an idiot. If he can`t appreciate knowledge let him wait for an idiot. You want to look up in the front of the rear 1/4 real good.
It looks good.I understand you said unrestored and not all original.Where did you see rust? The torsion boxes? How do the doors open and close?
There`s a very nice unrestored Blazer for sale in the parts section by Teeitup.Go get a comparison there. It`s an honest sale to go by.

For $3k you had better be all over that one, at least from what I can see ;)

I agree, sounds too good to pass up unless you find a big problem with it.

Oops!I was typing all that while you posted.$3k sounds good, but still watch those trouble areas.

$3K looks like a smokin' deal. Even if it has more rust than you thought, you could part it and make more than that....

Post more pictures!

Re: 1972 blazer im loking to buy and need est value

Yea it's worth $3K. I looked at it the first day he posted it for sale.

The bad: It's been repainted several times; originally black, then a green color (showing on the hood), and then back to black. There are several areas with cracked body filler/rust but only the right front fender is beyond repair. The trim was a pretty mangled and the top (especially the hatch) is in pretty rough shape.

The good: It is a high option truck with factory tach, tilt steering and AC. It runs very strong. The foam in the front seats is in decent shape. THE PRICE IS RIGHT.

I would have bought it but my wife says one 72 Blazer is enough.

Go for it.

Re: 1972 blazer im looking to buy and need est value

I bought a shiney black blazer last summer---tilt, A/C, ralleys, buckets, rear seat, smooth top, etc. Paid $700. and from 20 feet away it looked decent. When you see bondo cracking with rust underneath, you better believe it is the tip of a very rusty body. Check the windshield frame above the visors, using a magnet--check for bondo there. Look under the rear carpet by the tailgate and along the inner quarters--both sides. Get under the sucker and check the rocker boxes, the B pillars, and the front floor to kick panel. These are the most difficult and costly places with the most cost to repair. Options are nice but if hung on a bondo body ready to crash, better to just pay the price that the options and parts are worth which would not add up to $3K.
