Help !!!!!

Last week I bought a 2004 Z71 with a 5.3 motor and today I got a check engine light that came up on the dash. I went to Autozone and they put a computer on it and said that the Knock sensor on bank 2 had low voltage.
I bought another one and I figgered that if I could see what it looks like I will be able to change it out myself.
I cannot find it anywhere on the motor. Can anyone out tell me where it is located and will I be able to change it myself?
I also need to know if the check engine light will reset after i get it replaced.
If not how do you reset the computer.

I went back and bought the sensor figgering that if I can see what it looks like then I can change it my self.
Boy was I wrong ,they are under the intake manifold. I don't have the time to work on it so I carried it to the dealer to work.
The whole problem was caused by a Rat that made a nest under the intake, he had eaten the wire and shorted it out.
Anyway the truck was out of warrenty and it cost me $352.25 to get it fixed.
I have only had the truck for 2 weeks before this happened I hope I didn't bring the Rat home when I bought it.
I hate RATS!!!!!

My son just bought a 2000 Z71 with a 5.3 with and the engine light came on. We shot the code and found the same problem as you.

We looked all over the darn engine, went to the Auto Zone web-site and looked at a knock sensor, but still could not figure out where the heck they were.

Finally I called my brother, a mechanic, and he told me where the darn things were under the intake and what had to be done to replace them. What a pain in the behind, my old '92 GMC K-3500 is so simple compared to the 2000 5.3.

My son is going to drive the truck for a while before he decides what to do. We should be able to change them, but really don't want to do it right now.

Its really not hard to change these out. Even a first timer should be able to change them out in under 2 hours. I've done a few of em and can have em done in say an hour give or take.
