header pipe preference

I see that alot of you prefer the thorley header pipes over other brands. Im just curious to get some feed back. I have always used Hookers and hedman for other projects. I never really paid much attention to the thorleys. Is there a reason why use truck lovers (me being a newbie) like the thorleys over the others?

I like the hooker headers. Had them on two motors and really liked them.

Bought My 85 K10 And It Has Heddman Headers. Never Had Any Other Than Stock On Anything Else. Stick With Your Name Brands That Have Been Around For A Long Time. They Havent Stayed In Business Cause Theyre Product Suckd.

Hooker was the only one that had big tube headers for the Blazer..:metal:

I think you'll have to do a poll as to which ones are favored the most. I've used Flowtechs and Hookers. Flowtechs seem to fit better, because the tube diameter is a little smaller. Hookers fit right against the starter on my truck. In time the silenoid will be toast. I'm purchasing a mini starter for improved cleareance.

i have a set of afterburner on my chevelle love those. My truck has headers but i have no idea who made them i have two set i guess they are cheap old headers. (my dads old stock stuff his musle car days)

The hookers are the better made ones of the cheap headers. Thorley are better but also cost more. Im not sure about fitment issues, Ive never ran a set. The hooker headers have been okay for what I need.

I bought a set of ceramic coated headers from Summit, and really liked them. But they didn't fit with my angle plug heads. I had to buy a set of Hookers. Side by Side, the Summit ones looked nicer. Better finish, bigger tubes, half the price. Just didn't fit.

Which ones are best for a 78 C10 with a 305 and TH350? Mine are rusty and probably have some holes...

If I were you I would purchase a nice set of Ceramic coated headers. Your truck is much too nice for a cheap set of painted headers.
