My '63 project start-to-current
1 Attachment(s)
I found this thing about two miles from home and told the guy I'd take it if it runs. He drove it here for me. Rotton bed, tons of rust. Its just what I wanted. It has a 327 (ugly at best). I removed the 3/4 ton coils & overloads and replaced them with 2/4 half ton coil drop springs. It gave me closer to a 3/6 drop. For now Im keeping the drum brakes. I figure the larger 3/4 ton drums will do for now. The engine is just waiting for heads. We are tossing in a 280 isky cam and a 600 cfm carb. Im shaving the tail gate and bed rails. Heres some pics.

Sorry, I'll post more later. I have to figure out how to make them smaller.

Re: My '63 project start-to-current
That might be a 283.. Dont think they used a 327 in 63, unless that is not orignial...
