G80 Crapping its Pants

Guys the g80 in my truck is crapping its pants, I am looking to change it out to something else. What would be my best option for an upgrade. I have read a little about the torsen for the 8.5" but cannot find it in a 26 or 28 spline I cannot remember setup 1981 c10. I have also hear you can rebuild the g80, would it be worth doing that?

Ok 15 views and no hits yet i guess no one else knows what the heck a g80 is either and they dont want to admit it.

So what the heck is a g80?

I dont think i'v even heard anyone else ever mention this in here befor.

Im gonna guess it's either a gearbox or a rearend since you mentioned something about 26 or 28 spline.

Be a little more specific and maybe someone can help you.

G80 is the RPO code for a limited slip differential.

Anyhow, is anyone using a True Trac in their truck?
