sealing transmission hump
 
When putting a transmission hump on, should it be sealed or not? If so, what type of sealer should be used?

the factory sealed them, used the fender welting used on the bed wheel tubs, etc

I use RTV silicone to seal mine.

could also use thast gray foam sticky thick tape kinda stuff, tub caulk would work wel and cost way less and be just as good, works for rear axle covers too
