12 bolt pumpkin interchangeability 75 guts to a 69 housing?

I need to know if I can pull the guts from a 75 12 bolt and install them in my 69 housing? The 75 has a 5 lug axle and I will be converting mine from 6 to the 5 using the 75 axles. Are to two housings different internally? This could save me some time & money. Thanks

the 69 and 75 will interchange on the carriers....the axles you will need to measure and check the outer bearing sizes...
