Wood beds are available for all light duty truck models except short bed fleetside. Why, I have no clue...but I have never seen one from the factory and have not seen one offered by the aftermarket. I am sure it can be done, but it would be a little extra work I suppose.

I also love wood beds, and was thinking the same thing, I'd seen them listed for long bed fleetsides but I couldn't find any for short bed fleetside I didn't think.

Maybe cut a long bed version down and use it.

I have a wood floor in my '80, Its a factory floor but I do not know what year it was from as it looks like the fleets were changed once but it possible that it could be original.

Re: wood bed floor

Would someone with a 73-87 measure their bed floor?

I would like to know with some bit of modification if I could use on in my 72.

You know...width, length, from from to wheel well...how long the wheel well is, how wide the wheel well is...ho far from the rear of the wheel well to the back of the bed., how wide the corrugated part is? etc...

Thanks,

Tim

anything can be done with the proper tools . Im sure you can fin some kind of metal hardware to duplicate the metal between the bed boards on a long bed and fabricate some kind of mounts to the frame
