Here's a pic with my new tires - Toyo Open Country M/T's 285/75/R16 (33x10.5x16) What a difference tires make! Here's the link for my original pics http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=216982

I got the wheels used from a friend. They're Progressive Wheels, 16x8. I think Progressive may have gone out of buisness.:( . Check your favorite wheel dealer, maybe they have some left over stock. Or try evil bay. Sorry I can't be more help.

How do they ride?

It still rides rough, they are a 10 ply tire, but it's not any worse than the old BFG All Terrains I used to run. They are surprisingly quiet for a mud tire though.

Dang! :whine: I really like the look of the slots, but the ones I REALLY want are Stupid Expensive!! Yes, the price deserves capital letters. Check here. However, when I checked the price on them last year they were around 450.00/each. Apparently they are trying to get rid of them. :hmm:

It's the forging that costs so much. Incredibly strong, but rediculously light. :c2: The best of both worlds, but you gotta pay to play. If you've ever picked up a "baja" type OE wheel from a Super-Duty you know what I'm talking about. Way, WAY lighter than you think!! I think they are awesome, but I just can't justify that kind of money unless I suddenly become independently wealthy.

On that note, buy all the AAPL stock you can get you're hands on. :c2:

Later,
Buddy

Hey Chris, nice looking K5. How much lift does it have?

It's tough to find a nice wheel for these old Blazer's sometimes....that's not too gawdy! Those look great!

Thanks Dan, The K5 is all stock suspension. Original springs up front and stock replacements out back. The 14 bolt lifts it about 1/2" out back because of the larger axle tube size. 3" for the stock 12 bolt vs. 3 1/2" for the 14bff.

Those 285/75/R16s fill out the wheel wells nicely. Any issues with rubbing?

Re: Updated pics - new "shoes"

Th fronts rub a little, you can see where I trimmed the front of the fender. The weird part is it only rubbed on the passenger side. If I did any serious wheeling, I'd probably have to trim more.
