Need help with pics.

I wonder if someone could help me post a pic. I don't have a dig. camera.I do have some pics in my files that I scanned. I saw another topic where someone helped another person, but I think it was a little different. If anyone could help I would appreaciate it. Thanks.

You'll need to upload your pics to someplace like http://www.freephoto-i.net/

It's a free service, all you have to do is register.

Once you have your pics uploaded, click on your thumbnail to launch the pic browser, then click on the pic. This loads another browser - copy the address of this pic.

Place the address you've copied between these IMG brackets and you're set!

You have to have them uploaded to a photo hosting service like Free Photo I that is shown on the menu at the top of your screen before they can be posted to the board. Start with that then do as follows. Open the picture in your hosting service, right click on the photo then open the properties, where it says address URL copy the whole address starting with http: and ending with .JPG, paste it into your post and then add after it. If you don't feel comfortable trying that I would be happy to post one or two on your behalf but you'd need to e-mail them to me first. Gotta leave the board for while so I can't help you more til later.

The computer savvy guys make it sound so simple, but they tend to leave out some steps that are second nature to them. I would like to help, but I am not one of those. I have been able to post pics a couple of times but it has taken me quite awhile to get it. You will too if you work at it. There are posts from the last 30 days I think that if you search and find them are much more definitive of all the steps needed.

Hey, I just took some pictures tonight of my Longhorn. I haven't a clue what to do after I get them developed, but my wife has a scanner in here, will that help?

hobby67stepside 03-22-2002 10:48 PM

I used my scanner to get some posted but I'm not sure how I actually got it done. Someone will help I imagine. I'm still having trouble figuring out how to downsize them.

busterwivell, Yeah that's how I did mine. These guys were a big help.My girlfriend has a 99 mustang. Her and I post pics on her message board all the time. This site is a little different though, but it was pretty easy. When you get your pics developed let me know and I'll try to help. Here's my email: elkyholic2@aol.com
