Re: front end rebuild
In my opinion this is NOT a place to skimp. The whole process of doing all this work and changing everything out is quite the job. Do it once and put MOOG parts in and you will not be sorry.

Re: front end rebuild
I just finished a crossmember change on my '70 C20 and all I used were Spicer parts. USA made and top quality. I only used Moog before, but will definatly be using Spicer also. The parts store that I purchase from really does a good job finding the best parts for my restorations/ modifications, so I trust themwith their recomindations. This is a Mom & Pop, not a chain. If my memory serves me right, didn't Spicer make some really high quality muscle car rears?

Re: front end rebuild
Spicer makes two lines of parts .from what I can see. A budget line and what they call a professional line. I have never used their stuff. I am not saying Spicer Pro series aren't any good, I'm saying it's a lot of work to do all this changing of these parts and I chose to do it with MOOG parts.

Re: front end rebuild
Thats why Baskin-Robbins has 31 flavors, personal choice is a great thing.
I must have used their professional line, the prices that you quoted are just around what it cost me for the upgrade to a '91 3/4t 'Burb front suspension. |
Re: front end rebuild
Cool, I agree 100%. When I was a kid I used to like the black licorice ice cream they used to make!
