Anyone install a flaming river fr 2003?

I am installing a flaming river fr-2003 tilt in my truck. How do you accomodate for the smaller diameter of this columnat 1.75 inches versuses the 2.00 inches of the original?

If anyone has used this column did you buy the mount from flaming river or did you use the factory mounts? The factory mount appears to be too large.

I do not understand why flaming river recommends this column for our trucks when the universal is the same diameter as factory. I just wish I had known this before I ordered this smaller diameter column.
Any ideas on securing this column inside the cab?

Thanks for your replies.

I have installed the FR2003, but I am still in the middle of my build and haven't used it yet other than to make sure my shift linkage was installed correctly.

I bought mine from PICKMUP and after getting past my mistakes with the original intermediate shaft the column and new intermediate shaft installed without any problems.

Sandemonium, did you have to order a flaming river mount?
How did you secure the column inside the cab? since it is smaller than stock.
