Sorry I din't introduce myself. My name is Jill. I got this truck about 10 years ago. Heres the story: my Brother had to go dirt track racing and my Dad helped build him a fast mini stock and to make things fair I got a truck. He paid about $400.00 for it and it looked like a piece of junk literally!! He did all of the chassis, electrical, and mechanical work and my boyfriend is doing all of the paint work. I've got the best of both worlds. Ain't that COOL!!!
Here is a list of parts and mods-- just to name a few: 78 camaro subframe 78 camaro rearend (springs were moved in under frame) 92 chevy truck 350 throttle body engine 700R4 trans Custom radiator (top half original brass polished) Vintage Air setup Auto Meter Gauges with Billet Insert 1990 Chevy Van : wiring harness, computer, steering column(lots of mods- column shifter) brake booster Summit Racing Fuel Cell Holley inline electric fuel pump 15 psi March High Performance serpentine pulleys Hooker Competition Headers with copper flange gaskets Magnaflow Performance mufflers with pipes turned down right behind the cab!!! More pics will come!! Oh by the way the holes in the dash are for the billet Vintage Air control and a CD PLAYER. Here is a pic of the back half: |
Re: My 56 Project
Welcome Jill, So if your dad is doing the mechanical side and your boyfriend is painting it I am guessing you are doing all the assembly? Gotta love a woman that is willing to get her hands dirty. My wife won't even come out in the garage to see if I am still alive...LMAO.

Re: My 56 Project
Sounds like it's going to be a very cool truck when it's done.
