T-Bar Wing Nuts

I'm doing the Edelbrock Aluminum 'Elite Series' look to my SBC engine. I have the 14" diameter air filter assembly with a 4 1/2" high K&N filter. Now I found, and bought, the matching valve covers from the bargain finder (For $100 less, but still look new)!! I picked up a matching chrome Edelbrock breather cap, but now I need some nice looking bolts/holders for the valve covers. I was looking at some chrome 'T-Bar wing nuts', but have no experience with them. Or should I get some plated bolts & spreaders? Any opinions on which ones to buy.....

I've never used spreaders on aluminum valve covers. I'f use the winged studs if they're tall covers or plated bolts if they're short. I think the winged studs look kinda funny with short covers.

Thanks 4 the input. I kinda figured they'd look funny. I was planning on getting plated bolts.

That'd be my choice. They even have those nifty ones with the little Bowtie on them.

True. But I'd probably need slightly longer ones than stock to clear the thick valve cover flange & gasket. And still have enough thread in the heads.

i'd use stainless allen head bolts to match the valve covers

I prefer bolts on valve covers. Im past experience it seems everyone that ever walks past my vehicles cant leave them alone. They always want to do you a "favor" & snug them down for you. Ive gotten so sick of it that I just use bolts & its problem solved...
