Raising a 69

Hi Guy's,
I want to raise my 69 1/2 ton atleast 4 inches. It's 2 wheel drive. I've been looking through 4x4 mag's but can't find a kit for a 69. Any suggestions?

I've never heard anf anyone doing this, but I suppose for the rear you could put your rearend under your swingarms (about 4"?), and for the front, get a '73-'87 crossmember and get some raised spindles/ lower A-arm combo with taller springs. I've seen that stuff advertised in Truckin' magazine, but never really paid attention to it. Are you trying to make a baja truck, or what?

I just want to raise her up. I own a newer 4x4 and like the look.

Thanks Johnny

I think you can use the Fabtech kit from a 73-87 for the front. This is really easy if you do the 73 and up crossmember swap with the disc brakes, and just add blocks or add-a-leaves unless you have coil spring rear. I think JC Whitney has 2" lift coils.

Call one of the 4x4 companies in the magazines. They don't list all their products. The "pre-runner" look is popular right now. Also, check over on Coloradok5.com and see if anyone has done this with their 2wd Blazer.
