What type of fuel pump?

I am getting a fuel cell from fuelcellguy and I was wondeering what type of fuel pump everyone is using? Would it be better to use an inline pump mounted to the frame,or original location? My truck is a '70 with a carb. Also, with the inline pump will I need to run a return line? It's a lot of questions but when I go to buy the stainless tube I want to get enough in one trip. Thanks for the help, Lane.

Re: What type of fuel pump?

original ac/delco mechanical fuel pump is by far the most reliable trouble free and least expensive fuel delivery system you could ask for good for engines well over 500horsepower/// electric fuel pumps are needed with fuel injection and i can think of no positive reasons other than that

I agree, there is no good reason i can think of to go to an electric pump.
It doesn't matter what kind of fuel tank, nor it's location. The stock mechanical pump will work fine, and live practicly forever.

Thanks for taking the time to reply. Sometimes I need to be reminded to keep it simple.
