LMC Suspension Kit
Does anyone have any experience with the LMC Trucks suspension kit? Looks to be a complete package for front and rear for around $500. Any comments regarding quality etc?

Re: LMC Suspension Kit
I think you'll find alot of us just use LMC for their catalogs, good exploded diagrams. For lowering your best bet is to look into Early Classic Enterprises, Mcgaughys, CPP, or check with a board vendor like GMC Paul.

Re: LMC Suspension Kit
just saw this kit from lmc today. i need to redo front/rear suspension, so was thinking about this...
Im not lowering my truck. Stock height :) Would this be a goo choice? Do they use quality parts? Or would i be better off with piecing my own together? I used to use Moog, but ive heard quality there aint what it used to be Any thoughts on this kit?? thanks! |
Re: LMC Suspension Kit
You are better off buying the parts from anywhere but LMC. Most of what they sell can be had cheaper and better elsewhere. They've sent me a lot of chinese made junk.
I got most of my suspension stuff from Rockauto.com. I went with the top level Raybestos parts. Got all the balljoints, a-arm bushings, steering parts, etc. Springs I did a 2/2 spring drop and got those from Early Classic Enterprises. |
Re: LMC Suspension Kit
My experience with LMC has been bad enough that I simply avoid them except to get the catalog diagrams.
1). Tailgate polyurethane trunnions I ordered did not fit at all. Had to use the original ones. 2). "Triple chrome plated" side mirrors and handles fit fine but developed spots after just a couple years sitting in a garage. Some other parts were great: the pedal rubber and stepside taillight assemblies. I haven't tried their dash pad or weatherstripping. ITTR |
Re: LMC Suspension Kit
I would get a list of parts and get them from Rockauto, myself.

Re: LMC Suspension Kit
LMC is only good for the diagrams in the catalog. They're 35 minutes from me and I don't buy from them.
I just did a conversion to a '71 DB front end and used Moog parts from Rockauto. |
