i got a media blaster rounded up from a friend so i gunna blaster the cab to get all the rust and paint off (three layers of paint) so that i can know how bad the rust is , my question is will rattle can weld through primer keep rust off or what kinda paint can i spray on after the blast to keep rust off?

I use PPG DP90 epoxy primer for rust protection after cleaning to bare metal since I takes me forever to finish my projects. You can use filler over the primer without problems which is nice. You may want to use an etch primer under the epoxy for a "gold plated" solution. The etch will not be moisture proof however. When you do your sheet metal work, just grind off where you are going to cut and weld.
